2. Some alloys of cast wire, such as cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy, cannot be forged, rolled, and drawn, but made by casting. It is mainly used for manual surfacing of the workpiece surface to meet special performance requirements such as oxidation resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. With continuous casting and liquid extrusion, cobalt-chromium-tungsten wire of several meters can be produced for automatic wire-filled tungsten gas shielded arc welding to increase welding efficiency and build-up quality, while improving working conditions. Cast iron repair welding sometimes uses cast wire.

3, flux-cored wire with a thin steel strip into a round or shaped steel pipe, filled with a certain composition of the powder, made by drawing a cored wire, or filled with steel pipe powder made of seamless flux cored wire (See illustration). With this kind of welding wire, the welding efficiency is high, the adaptability to steel products is good, and the trial production period is short, so its usage and use range are continuously expanding. This welding wire is mainly used for carbon dioxide gas shielded welding, submerged arc welding and electroslag welding. The powder composition in the flux cored wire is generally similar to that of the electrode coating. The flux-cored wire containing slagging, gasification and arc-stabilizing components does not require protective gas when welding. It is called self-shielded flux-cored wire and is suitable for the construction of large-scale welded structural projects.

Mainly used for the repair of some thermostable parts. When welding, the temperature is generally controlled at about 40 degrees Celsius, the wall thickness is 0.4-0.5 mm, and the highest is not higher than 100 degrees Celsius.
