Spring wire is a kind of Steel Wire used for SPRING or WIRE FORM. According to different uses of springs, spring wires required for making springs are of various types, such as spring wires that require lower mattress springs (referred to as mattress wires), spring wires that serve as shock absorbers, and springs that serve as suspension springs. Wires, spring wires that make engine valves, spring wires that make camera shutters, and so on, although there is no uniform standard classification name, the quality requirements of these wires are different. Oil quenched spring steel wire: Carbon steel or alloy steel can be used as required, surface treated and cold drawn to finished product size and then quenched and tempered. This process is used more often in automobile suspension springs and valve spring Steel Wires, common springs Of course you can use it too.
Surface treatment: generally use pickling phosphating, remove iron oxide skin, the formation of phosphate film; also a small number of mechanical methods. The purpose is to meet the requirements of the cold-drawn drawing process and to obtain a smooth surface. For spring wires that require high fatigue life, such as valve spring wire, the wire rod should be chamfered to reduce surface defects. If the steel mill can perform grinding on the steel billet, it is also beneficial to reduce defects.
